RULES & REGULATION!

Ok yes, SUWEN here! I know you guys have been reminded a million times from the teachers & SLs about your grooming.Sorry but yes,now there are new rules about grooming and attendance.

Grooming:

1. Hairstyle
   Girls ;
   +Hair should be neat and tidy
   +FRINGE have to be pinned up at all times
   +NO coloured hairband,rubber band,clips,pins etc allowed
   +Long hair should be tied up at all times (unless you are doing a skit that requires your hair to be down)
   +No dyeing/highlighted hair allowed
   
   Boys ;
   +No long sideburns are allowed (Sideburns should be higher then half ear mark)
   +No dyeing/highlighted hair allowed
   +FRINGE should not touched eyebrow
   
   FAIL TO DO THE ABOVE,A FINE OF $0.50 WILL BE ISSUED!
   
   
2. Attire
   Girls ;
   +Shirt should be tucked in at all times (unless you are doing a skit that requires your shirt to be tucked out)
   +Skirt musn't be too SHORT
   +Socks must be visible
   +NO coloured socks allowed
   
   Boys ;
   +Shirt should be tucked in at all times (unless you are doing a skit that requires your shirt to be tucked out)

   FAIL TO DO THE ABOVE,A FINE OF $0.50 WILL BE ISSUED!
   
   

Attendance:

1. CCA cards
   +Have to be handed in to Mary before drama starts
   +Write your own time and date before giving it to Mary
   +Fail to hand in CCA cards 3 times,shall pay $0.50 to the drama funds
   +If you lose your CCA card,make one yourself or buy from Mr Kwek (HOD of PE & CCA)
   
2. Late-comers
   +If you are late for CCA,must informed any of your cca mates with a valid reason
   +Each time you are late WITHOUT a valid reason,you have to pay $0.50 to the drama funds
   
3. Absent from CCA
   +If you are absent from cca,we expect you to have an MC or a letter from your parent.
   +Pass the MC or letter to Mary the next CCA day
   +Letters must include parent's phone number and signature

Training Details!

Alrighty peeps!

For tomorrow, Thursday (10/2/10), we'll be having another self-training session. Once again Mdm Suping will not be here, but let's not allow ourselves to slack, mmkay? :D

Like on Tuesday, please gather at the I-Studio by 3PM. This will be a full-dress rehearsal - so remember to bring your costumes if you haven't left them in the I-Studio yet! :D

Also, our dear vice-president Suwen wants me to remind you people to check your grooming! I know, I know, teachers and SLs have told you that about a trillion times. I empathize, I know how you feel, but seriously, please please please check your grooming! Pretty please with a cherry on top? :D

Training Details for Next Week

There are just three things I'd like to touch on today. :]

FIRST OF ALL:
If you haven't already done so, please remind your fellow actors to visit this blog. :D

The Committee didn't make an announcement for the entire club - our mistake - though some of the early-comers found out about the blog. SO, I hope those few early arrivals spread the news around. :)

SECOND OF ALL:
Remember to bring your costumes on Monday (8/2/10). Show your costumes to the Committee in the canteen after school. Those who do not bring their costumes - regardless of the reason ("I didn't have time to buy", "I didn't hear", "I forgot", "My leg's injured", "It was too heavy to bring to school", "I didn't know how to bring it to school") - will be issued a MORF instantly.

Aaand, just to clear doubts because some of you refuse to believe it: we do have the power to do that, thanks to our teacher's authorization. ;)

LAST OF ALL:
Though Mdm Suping will not be coming for the training sessions next week, we will still be having CCA, albeit without a trainer.

On Tuesday (9/2/10), please gather at the I-Studio by 3PM (3PM, not 3.30PM!).

Take note that it will be a full-dress rehearsal. That means you have to bring your costumes again. :D

Further details about Thursday's training are still being discussed but will be confirmed and posted up.

Training Details

Hey Actors!

There will be another Drama session on Thursday. Gather at the I-Studio by 3.30PM, as usual. :D

There will not be any trainings next week - we'll be skipping two sessions, in other words - so please work hard, practise your lines at home, and behave yourselves during our training sessions! :)

Remember to write down your blocking in your scripts so that you don't forget what you're supposed to be doing, and when you're supposed to be doing those somethings.

Training Details

HEY PEEPS! This is your new webmaster, Jie Chern. Clap prease. :D

There will be a training session next week on Tuesday, 2nd of February next week. Please gather at the I-Studio by 3.20PM.

Please, please, please try not to be late, because, as you know, latecomers have to serve detention, and we don't like wasting our life away, do we?

As usual, we will be practising our Total Defence Day plays, so remember to bring your scripts! :D

I came here intending to JIAYOU for all Drama-mamaians for your Mid- year Examinations.But as i read the tagboard, I realize there's more stuff to be posted. So, here i go.

Firstly, 

JIAYOU ALL DRAMA-MAMAIANS FOR YOUR MIDYEAR EXAMINATIONS!

I hope you guys have been studying. mug mug mug. Mid-years will be over soon. And before you know it, we'll be having dinner together at Fort Canning Park while watching Much Ado About Nothing. So, Study Hard !

Secondly, 

To non- MF drama-mamaians, thanks for visiting our drama blog! Yes, all drama clubs rocks.HAHA. Im sure your school's Mid-year Exams are around the corner or already have started.So, you guys study hard too! haha. 

Next,

People who took the consent forms for Much Ado About Nothing, please remember to get it signed and handed up to your level heads by Monday ( 4/May/2009 ). People who don't hand up by Monday will not be able to attend the outing. 

Note: Some of you don't have enough money in your edusave accounts.So, remember to bring the money too,alright?

Hello Everyone! :)
Ker here. Firstly, i would like to THANK EVERY ONE OF YOU for making SYF a fantastic experience for all of us. We've done a great job & i think you all deserve like 10 million bucks for going through this, erm, ordeal.


We still do not have any updates about our results yet-- but we will contact you once we receive it! :D


Anyway, on to the admin stuff.


Date: Thursday, 16th April 2009.
Time: 3.30pm - roughly 4.30pm?


YES GUYS, THERE WILL BE CCA.
But, we'll not have any practice, but a voting session for the future committee instead. ;)
Those who do not turn up will not be considered for any postitions.
We will also be talking about a future drama trip: Much Ado About Nothing.




Requirements for committee members:
President:
-Events I/C :
will need to overlook ALL activities to make sure everything is in order.
-Discipline I/C:
overlook conduct of member throughout practices.
-Main channel of communication between committee & teachers:
This means that the teachers will only liase with you to disseminate information regarding practices & such.
Teachers --> President --> Committee --> Level Heads --> Rest of members
-Run committee meetings (with or without teachers)


Basically, overlook everything. :)
Although it sounds like a lot of work, your efforts will pay off!


Vice-President:
-I/C of phone relay system:
The call tree?
-Make sure that venue is available before all practices. (will need to communicate with teachers)
-Discipline & Events I/C
-Oversees everything!


As VP, you'd need to liase with the President VERY OFTEN! I'm talking about hour long calls & meetings before practices start & such... Yes, this is why Joey, Lim Yen & I are almost inseperable now. :P


Treasurer:
-Collect all funds:
I would like to remind you that you'd need to be extremely meticulous to do this job well. You CANNOT misplace the drama fund & would need a book to keep track of the events.
-Drama Cupboard I/C:
To always know where the key is, or have the key in advance when you know we'd be taking stuff out from the cupboard. Also, to keep a stocklist of what is in the cupboard.
-Notice Board I/C:
Post future updates/schedules there & make it look pretty. :)
We're thinking of pulling in the arts ambassadors to help out with this.

Secretary:
-Collect CCA cards & mark attendance every practice
-Collect forms
-Have a file to write all the minutes of meetings.


Level Heads:
i/C of discipline of each level
-pass on messages
-collect FORMS, not money.

-Ensure that each member reports to them personally on why they're absent & to collect all excuse letters

Information regarding SYF day

Hey Drama-mamaians,

The following is how the day will run on SYF day which is.. TOMORROW! :O

740(aft marking attendance) - assemble @ dance studio

745 to 1240 - make-up, costume, eat, rehearse,etc.

1245 - bus depart for CJC

1330 - report at CJC

* If we reach CJC before 1330, we'll prolly do some vocal warm-ups or sth. (:

1430 to 1500- PERFORMANCE ( 5 mins for set-up,20 for performance, 5 for clearing stage)

1500 to 1510 - board/ wait for the bus

1510 - head back to school

REMINDERS:

-Please remember to bring your white shirt and shorts if needed.

-People who needs and has contact lenses, please remember to bring them too.

-Bring your own make-up if you have and make-up remover or facial wash.

-Bring some safety pins just in case something goes wrong with your costumes.

-Props people : Remember to wear full black.( black shirt with school PE shorts )

If you guys have any things that you are not sure of, please clarify by TONIGHT which is like now.heehee ( :
